OK, one of my "friends" in Jersey Shore, Pa. (of course) reached out to me (for some reason?) for a little help with these letters she found. I'm not exactly positive where to start? so, I thought I'd come to you good folks. Even a little bit of info would be helpful but I really cant make out too much from the images she posted.

" Ok....Im on a mission...and need help!

Im going this route because my family, that would have any information on this, are all deceased, sadly.

See all these letters? They are from someone that my mom told my sister and I about years ago. He was very interested in her when she was younger (her high school days,1966, and he was in Vietnam) It never turned into anything, that I am aware of, but by these letters, he truly cared about her.
I am hoping that by sharing this information, that I might find him.
They obviously had enough between them that his expressions of interest, combined with her keeping these letters all these years meant something to both of them, but the letters stopped abruptly so I dont know if he survived or not).
I know its been many years, they both may have taken different courses in life....had families and moved on but I think it would be so neat to find him and return his letters; to let him know that they obviously meant something after all.

My mother was Christine Callahan at the time, from Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania.

His return address name is - J. Kennedy. (Signed the letters Jim and Jimmy)
He was an A1C in the Air Force at the time and the best I can tell from the letters, his home town was in Massachusetts.

According to the stories from her and my grandmother, many years ago when we talked about it....
He is somehow part of the Kennedy family, a nephew of JFK, if remembered correctly.... (still yet to be verified) but it doesn't matter either way, this man truly had an interest in my mother and now that she has passed, these letters were found among her belongings and it has become an interest of mine to meet this man if possible, or to at least locate him to return what was his. I know I would be surprised and grateful to see something of such affection resurface after all these years.

Please, all I'm asking is to just share this, hopefully someone will recognize the name.

THANK YOU! "

A1C is Airman First Class - Enlisted rank E3. A quick check through the databases shows several Jim/James Kennedy's serving during Vietnam Era. Would need more specific data to narrow it down. (Any mention of birthday, promotions, unit of assignment). Being enlisted, it is doubtful that he is closely tied to the famous Kennedy's, as most of them served as commisioned officers.

Kennedy is a very common name. Also, the name is originally from Ireland though it is also a common name in England. Boston was one of the biggest epicenters of Irish immigration to the US so it is a common name there. I would expect there are at least hundreds if not thousands of Kennedy families in just the greater Boston area.
