Here is another perf variation Scott #351
It to is the new perforation 11.85 and not the normal 11.94.

It will be interesting to see if these eventually get listed and priced in Unitrade. The larger stamps are easy to identify as singles, but I imagine it will be difficult with small definitives like 405a etc.

BeeSee...I have lots of blocks of #405...I should try them when I get a chance..

BeeSee: For 411, have you found those that gauge below 11.90 to be scarcer than those that gauge above 11.90?

Yes, that is correct Jogil. I have not checked all of my #411, but so far have checked 30. 25 are 12.02 (K66) and 5 are 11.82 (K67).

There is a typo in my post above, it says 20 instead of 25.

Soon as I measure the others, I will report the results.

Just a hint guys...Was reading the book and it says that the new perfs are MORE rounded than the old perfs, but the same number of perfs per stamp..Keep this in mind.

Wert, I don't mind paying full at that low price - it encourages the philatelic authors to continue to study and produce affordable material . Much of it is so expensive these days.

You know what BeeSee...we (all the people) on the forum have what I would call a "mini study " affect with stamps..It some times it high jacks a thread....some times adds to it...Wish the forum would add new sections say maybe.."fly specking" (forensic investigation)...Or "Mini Study Group" with sub-titles...This would probably have a more organized affect on threads..Just in my opinion..

Thanks for your support on this and for your purchases of the booklet. Over many years, I have had to buy many different and duplicate stamps to find out which stamps were affected by this change. It was a sort of hit and miss thing with many more misses than hits in order to build up a listing of these stamps. It cost a lot to get material for study and research and now I am trying to sell some of it off such as on ebay to recover some costs. Also, publishing a booklet with a small print run also adds up since they have been sold for around cost or less in order to get the word out as far and wide as much as possible. Doing this has been a labor of love for me, especially since my interest lies in line perforations.

Well I think you have done a great job on these perforation varieties Jogil. I am looking forward to receiving the booklet.

I have finished checking the used #411, and this is what I found:

Total: 76
K66: 56
K67: 20 (about 26%)

BeeSee: Would you say that the new perforation stamp variety is around 4 times scarcer (as determined from your 411 stamps) so that it would be valued at around 4 times what the old perforation stamp goes for?
