Hi guys...Take a look at this girl guide scott # 389 stamp from 1960...This is probably one of a few stamps that print the word "postage" before the word "postes" on a Canadian stamp..Just different.

The reverse does indeed seem rather rare.

Good one sak...I think the majority of Canadian stamps are "postes" before "postage".

They should have printed that stamp as shown below..Save on letters printed...haha

If you really want to flyspeck the #389 stamp, then why are these discrepancies present? We may never know!

That's easy to answer wt1. If you've ever worked with both English and French text together, you'll almost always find the French text at least 3/4 longer!
