I purchased this album at auction. US and Foreign. It's dated 1896. Everything in the book is 19th century (except the Kennedys). I guess people were collecting stamps that far back.

Welcome to the forum, Passages! You have some interesting items that should be examined a bit closer. In particular, the pages of beer stamps. If you can, would you take some close-up photos?

Cheers!

Very nice find if it hasn't been picked at too much. Was the Kennedy plate block in it when you got it?

Yes, the Kennedy stamps were there, but just kind of stuck in there and completely out of place. I could not see where anything was missing or removed..except what I will now post.

The Auctioneer removed these from the album. They relate to Cumberland Valley Railroad history and are extremely desirable in my area. They were sold separately for a lot of money.
