HI to all Has anyone seen this variety. I have checked with ultra violet light, and it shows no evidence of tampering, and if it was faded, then St. Joseph blue gown would be faded also Regards Horamakhet

They have lots of sun in Australia The child's face is very faded as is his hands and Joseph's hands too showing that there is fading on the stamp. Black would fade last I think, and as dark blue is a dark color it would fade less than the lighter blue of her clothes. |

I found an image of 393b. It's similar to your stamp, but that's as far as it goes. Still, it's promising enough to do more research. The 393b above went to auction for £1,000! |

Hi thanks to all,
This stamp is from my family collection, and has been sitting in a tin for the last 30 years, so I think it could possibly be a progression of missing colour, but as suggested, I will do a lot more research. Horamakhet. |

...h as been sitting in a tin for the last 30 yearsWhich,as it was issued 50 years ago, leaves it the other 20 years to enjoy the benefits of the Australian sunshine. |

Only thing is, I was not living in Australia 50 years ago, I was living in NZ. The stamp would have come of a postcard or letter sent by relations to NZ

These get tampered with all the time so only mint examples get my attention . |

Hi to all
Latest opinion by stamp experts. This is a partial lose of colour and shows no evidence of tampering. I do not have a copy of the ACSC that deals with 1965, so perhaps if any member out there has, does it list partial loss of colour for this stamp, if not, then could be a new variety.
