Very interesting stuff. It's funny how some postal forgeries are much more valuable than the legitimate stamps.

Yes, very nice! The only improvement would be some close-up pics with genuine stamps next to the forgeries.

In my old Scott Classic Catalog the 74a is not priced...so I wouldn't expect to see this one. The overprint characteristics would be nice to compare, however.

Floortrader brings good advice. If one is going to collect the classic issues of Portuguese India, one needs to be cautious. The native issues have been forged; also many of the later surcharges. I have 68 certificates from the ISPP (International Society for Portuguese Philately) for my P. India classics. All are genuine, altho several with minor flaws such as small thins.

I've also identified; on my own; 24 different Fournier forgeries of the P. India first Crown issues, that also come with surcharges. I haven't checked into the surcharges since the underlying stamps already are forgeries.
