Horamkhet: What do,you mean that the article is now in public domain? Here in the USA I believe an article mught be in the public domain if il'd more than 75 years old. Not sure what what the time frame is in Australia.
What I should have said is the article is now in print and available for all to read, but I did not want to be verbose, sorry if that has caused confusion.
In Australia an article becomes public domain fifty years after the death of the writer. However, there are some books that will never be public domain, such as Clarendon's History of the Rebellion, which the family were given the rights in perpetuity, The King James Bible, and of course Peter Pan, which copyright James Barrie bequethed to a Hospital.
