Hi guys..As usual I was flyspecking and came across these 2 strips of Scott # 1354 stamps..The stamps on the left have an extra dot on the leaf..Any thoughts..?

All 3 stamps on the left have it while the stamps on the right do not.

Robert

The Unitrade catalog describe what you have as 1354vii, "Rose thorn" (column 8, row 2-10). It has a catalog value of $3 mint and $1.50 used (Unitrade 2015).

Wert,

Checked 306 stamps. Found 13 copies of the black dot.

On 1 block of 4 and a few pairs, all marks appear to be displayed in column as per your strip of 3.

Here's another version - two dots on the leaf. It is on the same stamp as 1354viii - "Smiling berry" (berry directly under the '1' of '10').
