Found this one on an old album page that I picked up at a club auction some time ago and while moving it to a nicer home, noticed the rather obvious reversed watermark. Scott makes no mention of it.

Does anyone know if this is noteworthy?

Thanks,

Al

Sc # 95, the watermark is exactly what it should be and it's a very common watermark for British Colonies

Breefmack, you have to look at the watermark from the front of the stamp; it's the right way round. Looking at it from the back of the stamp, the correct watermark looks reversed. If you see it looking "correct" but on the back of the stamp, then the watermark is reversed (i.e. back-to-front as viewed from the front of the stamp).

Thanks Tim and Area66!

...but yeah, I'm just going to go ahead and chalk this post up to clinical cerebral flatulence on my part. It was late. I'm "getting up there". I'm a recovering US-only collector who only ever noticed single and double lines in such matters. Etc, etc...

If nothing else, maybe it will help a newbie to avoid similar embarrassment! By the time I got to the end of these, I was saying "OOPSIE!!"

Thanks again,

Al
