I collect Franco heads, printed in the same place starting in 1939. Those perfs look very regular compared to many.

keijo - lots of appreciation for your fabulous 'research'. I think your 'speculation' is the most plausible explanation, equal with what I suggested early in this thread:
Quote:
It could potentially be a imperf stamps that has been privately perfed

I have already noted it as such in my collection.

Paco - thanks for your contribution, and I absolutely agree on that observation, the perfs are often seen quite "irregular" on stamps of Spain at this time. Interesting then, for your suggestion to be relevant - have you seen the Franco heads with perfs that is both inregular and at the same time deviating as much as 0,75 from the listed nominal perforation?

A nice study could be made with Franco heads perforations. Quite a few perforation machines were used, many unlisted with many experiments done. Almost anything is possible with this set. It was used for a very long time in a destroyed country and printed under difficult conditions.

Your stamp could be a privately perforated stamp, or an unlisted official perf. I vote for the second option.

1932 - Comb perf. : 11 1/4 (Edifil Spec.) or 11,5 (Scott)
1938 - Line perf. : 10

Both stamps are engraved
