Hi. I'm looking to find some old springback binders - they need to be the same size as a Gibbons Tower or Gibbons Windsor. (I'm talking page size, not thickness, and it's height more than width which matters - how tall they stand.)

I was wondering about binders like Senator, Simplex, Utile. Are they all the same size or are some smaller?

Or if anyone has one of these (or similar) and wouldn't mind measuring the height of the binder, I'd be very grateful! I know both the Tower and Windsor ones are the same and are the right size for me.

Thanks.

Simplex, Senator, Nubian, Utile etc are the same size, if you get the "standard" - there's also a smaller "medium". They're about 11 3/4" x 10 1/2". The difference is/was the leaves. The Utile used to come with linen-hinged leaves, the Nubian comes with black leaves, although the current Nubian binders aren't up to the standard of the old. If you're buying new, you might take a look at these - SG size, but made by Lighthouse

In second-hand, look out also for Prangnell-Rapkin, which are, I'd say, better than SG.
