Ok, so you definitely don't see horizontal?

I don't see anything noteworthy. What do you think you see?

The catalog says that the gum is yellow (exceptionally brawn) with horizontal strips. I see vertical stripes instead, that's why I'm asking for your opinion.

Thanks

Robi, I see diagonal stripes or rather striations. But very hard to see. If you do this again, take a picture with the light coming from the side so the striations leave a shadow and are better to see.

What you see is the normal symmetrical grain [diagonal lines, rhomboids] that is horizontal. You may even see the horizontal and vertical lines of the sieve structure [about 20 vertical lines per horizontal centimeter and 30 horizontal lines per vertical centimeter]
