I need help with this. Apparently there are 3 different varieties of this 1 stamp.

I previously submitted a thread about another stamp and this was discussed briefly. But not resolved.

Axeman, why did you not put this together with the older thread? It would be a lot easier.
Now, why do you say there are three varieties?
And the last question. What is the color of the actual stamps. The color on my screen looks washed out reddish but I have a feeling that is not the true color.

Peter,

This is where I have found a lot of my information:

http://www.stamp-collecting-world.c...s_1852d.html

The color is tricking me too. To the naked eye, it appears to be an orange/yellow....and the paper has a similar hue. These pictures don't show the color as well as the picture on my other post. I think I meant that there are 3 varieties of color/paper...but maybe there are more. But what I did read is that the gutter between the stamps is not common.

Also, here is the previous topic I posted for quick reference:

It looks like a computer made image printed on a modern printer --worthless.

Well apparently it's not 'worthless' because I posted it on ebay including 'forgery?' in the title and there are 9 watchers and 9 bids.
