The stamp photo needs improvement , I think, to see it clearly... but it is a Glasgow postmark dated August 22nd 1907 which makes it a SG 230 (Scott#131) first issued in 1902 by De La Rue printers.
I cannot see the perfin clearly but it does look like one that might have a letter and a number.
From the photo, I would suggest the hand writing looks to be 8/6 which might refer to UK currency at that time.. 8 shilling and sixpence. That might indicate the stamp was on an envelope later used for scribbled notes as that was common in solicitor's or business offices. The stamp was later removed obviously.

If you want to identify the perfin then it might help, seeing as you have the stamp with you, to fill the perfin pattern with colored dots such as below and re-post the stamp.. It is very difficult to see as the postmark is obscuring the pattern and the condition of the stamp does not help either.

Scotzm, Robi, this thing looks like an april fools joke to me. The holes are or seem different size, they are randomly lined up and some of them made a deep impression in the paper around them, which a real perfin would not do. Just my two cents!
Robi, one suggestion if I may. When you edit a post, please do not get rid of the original, but post it like an answer. That way it is easier to see which one is the new one! Thank you.

Peter

The pattern is C over Ld, or written C/Ld. It is pattern 4460.02 from British catalog. Company "W H Collins & Sons & Co. Ltd, Glasgow.
Problem solved.

Amazing!
Po you made my visit worth tonight on the forum. Great find indeed. I like perfins, it's a very interesting field of study. Is it one of your's? If so, show us if you have time. Daniel
