I always like a messy classic lot, especially one that has socked-on-the-nose cancels and precancels, so this one was right up my alley. On its way from Europe...

Definitely a quantity-over-quality lot, but there are some $30-$100 items sprinkled throughout.

I like lots like this one too, especially on days like today with it pouring rain outside <G>. Belgium is one of my specialty countries as well.

revenuecollector - Congratulations on a spectacular find! Really lots of interesting stuff in there, like the stamps with attached advertising labels, tete-beche, pre-cancels etc. Beyond doubt, the first few pages appears to be a goldmine for a numeral-postmark collector like myself. Hope you find some interesting varieties, postmarks etc - enjoy!

Would you please kindly look at the pics of my colection? Any observations that I have something special - something rare? As a beginner I tried to complete a worldwide (International) collection but...starting to tink that maybe it is better to specialize in some specific countries or kind of stamps. In try to organize what I have. Any comments would be very helpful. Thank you!

aurora, that looks like a great collection and I am sure there is something of value in there. I can give you awebsite, http://stampworld.com as an on line catalog where you can find what your stamps sell for.

Aurora choose several countries you like and start buying complete stamp sets instead of just buying lower values of multiple countries. This way you'll slowly build a very nice collection for yourself.

These large county lots are the sort of things I buy at auction. They're lots of fun, but you're usually left with huge quantities of duplicates.
