Need Help With SC 117

Hello i'm new in forum

I just started to check a variety on stamps
I found this sc 117, I just want to know if this is a re-entry and how to evaluate it in price value if it's not cataloguaded ?

irteams, a very warm welcome to this forum! Please tell us what part you think is a re-entry? When you check the website that Northener0 gave you it might be obvious that your picture is not large and clear enough to show a re-entry, even if there is one. All the blue stuff in the left bottom corner looks like a cancellation.
But there is certainly something going on on the left outer frame line - you might give us a close-up of that area?

In my opinion, all of the dark blue marks are ink smears.

Unfortunately, ink pulls are very common and actually decrease the perception of value of some stamps. You should look for non-ink pull stamps, though these are interesting, and you can get some neat patterns. Keep looking!

Ink pulls are quite common on the admiral issue. You can have both ink pulls and a re-entry on the same stamp as they are caused by different factors. The ink pulls are a problem with inking and a
re-entry is a double transfer of the stamp image on the steel printing plate. I have a War Tax stamp Unitrade MR4 which has a
re-entry of the outer frame line and the inner oval above AN of CANADA (circled in blue). There are several small ink pulls. I have circled a few in red. The re-entry is a constant plate flaw. The ink pulls are a random anomaly and not constant.

Your stamp is either SC117, SC117a or 117vi and is classified as "used VF" (very fine). In my opinion, it is probably SC117.

There are 6 different varieties for SC117 and their "used" values are:
117 blue, wet printing $ 3.00
117a blue, dry printing $ 3.00
117ii light blue, wet printing $ 3.00
117iii light blue dry printing $ 3.00
117vi horizontal wove paper $ 80.00
117xx precancelled $ .50
117xx precancelled horizontal wove paper $100.00

Early stamps were printed on damp paper which shrunk after printing the image. Dry paper did not shrink. Wet printings are noticeably narrower than the same stamp printed on dry paper.

To determine wove paper, look at both the front and the back of the stamp.

The wove lines will appear on only on one side of the stamp.

Using a bright light, hold the stamp between you and the light source at a slight angle and see if there are many faint horizontal lines running across the stamp from it's top to it's bottom.
If yes, it is wove paper used before the stamp was printed.
If not, it is normal paper used used before the stamp was printed.
