A new Hobby Lobby store recently opened in my area.
However, they do have a section of a department, a display of hinges, mounts, tongs, magnifiers and yes, the stamps themselves. Not much for stamps, some H.E. Harris stuff for beginners. Hobby Lobby is no substitute for a full-servioce stamp store but they do have some of the stuff and are an option if it is what you happen to need.

One opened near me recently and I've taken advantage of it a couple of times to grab some Showgard (very limited selection). Just remember that if you are going to be shopping there you can go to their website and get a 40% off one item coupon that's good for several days - I print one every time I go.
George: Thanks for the 40% off tip. Haven't been in a Hobby Lobby for years but just this past weekend I found a reason to do so. Fortunately for me, I procrastinated ... will now print off a coupon before I go. John
Think about it though folks, for all the talk about getting new people in Stamp Collecting. Hobby Lobby is pretty much the only mainstream way to get folks introduced to stamps. I have picked up quite a few of the green world bags for fun...
I purchased one of those green Worldwide stamp selection bag. 50% of them were newer stamps not in my collection. Half of the stamps need to be soaked off of paper. I use the 40% coupon to buy stamp hinges and banknote pages. I have yet to see mounts for sale.
