I am not unaccustomed to going through hundreds - even thousands of bundle lots to find a particular variety. Not necessarily looking for the $Big Find - but just a copy for my collections, or for sale. Posting this one because - for the first time ever - I found a variety in the third stamp I looked at - out of maybe 500. The second find came much later - toward the end. But just sharing the pleasures of variety seeking and kilo lots of fun. The variety is 813i Type 1. The subject stamp is the UR. Sorry the zoom in does not show the variety very well.

Hi CanadaStamp. For all of us uninitiated and the ones who are without a Unitrade, could you please tell us what we are looking at?
I do understand your excitement though - I do the same thing with a set of US stamps! And thank you for sharing.

Peter

OK - here's a 1200 scan. Look directly down from the A and N of CANADA. It's little blue line (backward C).

Wow. No wonder I could not see that.
Any idea what it is? To me it looks like a piece of blue thread, but it must be something else if it is a constant variety.

I really don't know - don't have a variety catalogue.

Unitrade is calling it the "Blue Scratch in Rocks" at position 24. Catlog is $5 for Mint and $2.50 for used.
