As mentioned at 10/18/2016 12:33 pm, I'm now back at home and have access to my collection again. Here's what the Russian Imperial censors did in 1914 to an outgoing letter from Hapsal (Haapsalu), in what is now Estonia, to Goteborg in Sweden. They have opened the letter at the side, examined the contents and then folded the letter over, re-sealing with sealing wax, embossed with their seal (detail also shown). Brutal!
