I bought one of these recently as a sideline to my regular US collection which is housed in Mystic albums. My first US album was a Liberty, back in the 70's. It was therefore a bit of culture shock to see how inferior the product has become today. In random order:
1. The pages are punched with five holes. The binder has two posts. Why? I don't know of any other binder Harris makes that fits these. Those open extra holes look ugly.
2. The binder is really cheapo. The screws provided would not fit into the posts, I had to find my own.
3. Paper stock very lightweight.
4. No fly leaves supplied. Harris does not sell any. I will need to make my own.
I suppose it is nice they make a popular priced album and to keep the cost low some things have to be compromised. For over forty dollars it just seems to be shoddy. I will use it as intended with adjustments. Any thoughts?
Update, Harris apparently does supply a three ring binder:
