I am looking for some pages I can print myself for my Great Britain collection. Before someone suggests Steiner, I have to say no thanks. Nothing wrong with them but or some reason I just do not like them. I have been using a top of the line Gibbons Windsor album and have become disenchanted with the unavailability of pages and other supplies for them here in the US. I collect a lot of the Victoria area plate numbers so something semi specialized would be best if there is such a thing. I have a CD I bought 15 years ago with pages I like but decided at the time to go with the preprinted album. Those pages have all the plate numbers but only go to 2000, of course. One big issue is that nearly all the GB pages I see on ebay are A4 format. Converting those to letter format can be tricky especially if the pages have frame lines. Everything comes out looking strange. There is a nice downloadable album for the Machins that comes in letter format but they do not offer any other pages. Any suggestions welcome.

Stamps
Why not just get the Windsor pages etc from GB, especially with the current exchange rate? I buy a lot of French and Colonies pages etc, and I wouldn't dream of buying them in England.

One big factor is my wanting to do special pages of my own for covers and postal History, etc. Using the Windsor I have to do them on letter size paper then take them into a print shop to be copied onto blank Windsor pages, or I could spend $300 or more for a widebed printer. Using my own pages just seems a better deal.
I have become disenchanted with the Gibbons album for some time. Odd page size for US users, lack of anything like page protectors or stock sheets to fit them. I think their coverage of the Machins is a bit of a mess. Others may differ on any of this and that's fine. I may in time revert back to them but right now I'd like to try something different for awhile and see. |

I've got two Windsor albums listed on ebay; includes GB stamps. If you are interested, let me know. (Listed @ $95.00 - free shipping, can offer SCF discount). Don |

Dave thanks. Those are nice looking pages, I may be able to use the 96% adjustment to do pages for the period after 2000, where the CD I am now downloading from leaves off. Wish there was a way to get rid of that frame line but probably it's not an issue. |

Print yourself a test page, and I think you'll see that these work well on letter paper at 96%. The blue frame lines look good, too. I'm very happy with the results. I wish there were stamp images on the pages, but I use an on-line catalog with color images to direct me where to mount the stamps. |

I have just redesigned/ rearranged the Steiner pages, and I hoped to get an opinion on them. So I tried to send a PM, but as a new member I have no accesss to the mail system. I have two versions of the GB file, one with QV plate numbers and one "standard". And the Queen Elizabeth era is not included. If somebody want to check the files and can access the mail system, please send me your adress. And the normal Steiner heading, country name changed to "Bold": |

I have Steiner's original PageMaker file.
And to my surprise I was able to install the 15 years old Adobe PagePaker 7 to my Win10-system. |

I like the top version, as a bonus it leaves slightly more space for your stamps. I'd change mine to something like it but after so many years of emulating the Minkus layout I can't switch now.
Although I did develop a few pages, using a similar layout as yours, with a selection of Machin's as present for a friend. I left no empty spaces as a psyicalogical ploy making it a "complete" collection.

Lucky you. I had an older version of PageMaker -- only diskettes no less - but never took advantage of the free upgrade. I know if you desires are modest LibreOffice Draw can modify them. |
