Don: one of the better polls to come around here. Thanks. Categories are good too. For me, I've got ample space, plenty of material, good access to information from multiple sources, including this web site, no spouse.

But, time..............

Agree with Steve, but I would have thought "spouse" would get more votes! In my case it is availability because I specialize in such a narrow field.

I wish we could choose more than one...No. 1 for me is time and not enough time to learn more. I would like to collect worldwide just for the diversity and not sure where to start. I have started in Straits Settlements, Malaysia, and Singapore and may expand to the southeast Asia (British, Dutch, other colonies).

The 3 year old is quite the time sink. When he goes down for bed, I am usually gassed.

Absolutely a valid poll! I almost ticked for spouse - but even if I was to become single (which many WW-lunatics are risking, I suppose!) time would still have been the major hindrance - or resource, whichever way you look at it.

I had to go with time. I'm a teacher, my wife and I own and operate a business, and we have 8-year-old twins and a 6-year-old. Time is the most precious of commodities around the Morgan household.

Though truthfully it is probably energy. By the time the decks are cleared I just want to go to bed.

I'd rank them like this 1) money 2) space 3) time. I voted for money, but that's really only because it keeps me from getting everything I want. Even on my middling means I've got no shortage of stamps to work with at any given time.

I've basically got two collections (1-Germany 2-the rest of the world) each with its own hindrances. For Germany, it's coming down to cost, although I've still got plenty of inexpensive spaces to fill there. For my worldwide collection, it's more a matter of space. My collection spans around 100 total binders and stockbooks of all sizes, plus space for catalogs, supplies, unsorted stamps, etc. I really need to make efficient use of the space I have left because it's getting to be in short supply. Once it warms up where I live, I'm going to spend some time in my garage making some shelves that should make more efficient use of space than the ones I'm using now. When I'm done I'm hoping I'll have room for at least 2-3 dozen or so more binders.
