The State Government in Tasmania punctured its stamp stock with T to deter stamp pilfering. Australian State Government punctures are not given any status in catalogues.

There is a catalogue titled "Australian Official Perfins" compiled by David Andersen.
Also, there are collectors who collect perfins and depending on the perfin will pay money for it.
Perfins are not used commercially and books such as the ACSC will only print commercial stamps and their varieties. |

Aussie Al
The ACSC deals only with postage stamps authorised by the Federal Government from 1901 as the internationally recognised stamp issuing authority for Australia and of course as a matter of Australian law. As the State punctures are not done under the authority of the Federal Government they fall outside the ACSC's catalogue structure. Other catalogue's tend to follow ACSC as otherwise they would have to take on the task of valuing the stamps. matthux
Very common and thus not of any value.
