Did they say it will be available online later, or does one have to call to order?

Here is the bottom portion of the Formula 1 press sheet. It appears they are water activated rather than self-adhesive.

Effective yesterday (May 19th), one day after issuance, Canada Post recalled all (OFDC) $5.95 First Day of Issue Cover sets of 5, all single $1.85 OFDC's of Gilles Villeneuve and all $99.95 Gilles Villeneuve framed prints.

The recall has something to do with the printed information in English and/or French on the reverse of only the Gilles Villeneuve OFDC.
The framed print has a copy of the OFDC in it.

The following have been recalled:

Post Card set

Individual Post cards

Gilles Villeneuve Individual Post Card

Gilles Villeneuve Framed Print Issued: 500 Framed Prints

The following are not affected by the recall:

The $4.25 5 stamp special panes, the $8.50 10 stamp booklets, the single OFDCs of Stewart, Senna, Thompson and Schumacher, and the framed prints of Stewart, Senna, Thompson and Schumacher are not affected by the recall.

The Special Pane

The Booklet

The remaining Framed Prints
Sir Jackie Stewart Issued: 500 Signed Framed Prints

Ayrton Senna Issued: 250 Framed Prints
Senna

Lewis Hamilton Issued: 500 Framed Prints

Michael Schumacher Issued: 250 Framed Prints

At a future date, the OFDC set, single OFDC and the framed print will be available for sale with the corrected OFDC version.

And, of course, I was unable to find a Post Office or Shoppers Drug Mart sub-post office, that had any of the recalled items.

I had also canceled my Canada Post standing orders a year ago, so I could support my local Post Office with it's minimum required Saturday sales by purchasing all of the new issues.

I did place an online order which included the OFDC set. This has shipped and before the recall. I'll post pictures of the OFDC once I have received it and it would be good if someone could post the reprint that we can find out what has actually changed...

So here are the 5 strips of 5 available only with the press sheet:

Since I had my scalpel and straight edge out, I decided to attack the Empress of Ireland press sheet which I had stored away. I'll start a new topic.

Canada Post Details 5 May 2017 (received in mail today) lists the printing process as "Lithography in 5 colours (CMYK + MFX), tagging".
Anybody know what colours the "K" and the "MFX" stand for? I'm assuming that "C"=Cyan, "M"=Magenta, and "Y"=Yellow in the first set.

MFX is a type of printing, Metal FX, which is used for the silver printing on the Formula 1 stamp issue. It is also used for gold on other issues.

PWSCG, K is for Black, or the "key" plate, which the other three colors are aligned to in printing. You can find more on the internet.

The front and back of the original Villeneuve OFDC are displayed in the advertising card backing the pane of five stamps in the sealed package.

Here's the working scanned and cropped from the reverse of the OFDC.
The error must be somewhere in the English and/or French.

I am a new member in your forum.

Concerning the error in the Gilles Villeneuve FDC is in the text.
It is mention that his hometown is Berthierville.
His hometown is Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in January 18 1950.
It is the reason of the recall, I think.

Wikipedia says he was born in Richelieu, and grew up in Berthierville. That makes Berthierville his hometown, I think.
Berthierville sure thinks so! Hometown does not mean birthplace (as in my own personal case).
Welcome to the forum, robertstamps.
