Dear Stamp Community Family

Here I have some overprinted hitler heads, I was not able to identify. I know there are a huge number of faked overprints around, some private issues but as well some real overprints from various countries (Germany, Italy, Austria, Czechoslovakia etc.).

Does anyone know where they come from? Or does anyone has a source where one can read whether it is a private issue or a fake?

Thanks a lot for any hint in advance.

Best regards from Switzerland

André

The lowest pair, seems to come from Slovenia (former Jugoslavia), and bears that (perhaps) is the liberation date from nazi Germany.

Not sure if it is of any help,
I have a similar overprint on Yugoslavia Stamps, indicating Laibach.

Dear perf12, rod222 and Cursus

Thanks a lot for the time you have spent on my questions.

I know the saxony blackening. But I have not seen any of "my ones". In my Michel catalogue they only show a few of them.

The strange thing of the lowest pair is, that the nazi overprint is looking like the 1940 overprint of St. Nazaire (France) used by "Organisation Todt". The slovenian overprint is from May/June 1945. And it seems that the nazi overprint was placed over the slovenian overprint. I do not know if this make any sense, maybe it is just a gimmick.

Best regards from Switzerland

André
