Ambatondrazaka

"Pl Colbe" is Pl.Colbert (Place Colbert = Colbert Square)
"Andriana" is most likely Manjakandriana

no matter how long one does this,
It is always flattering to hear approval,
so thanks so much for your kind words.

I also take this opportunity to thank SCF member JOSS SANDERS
for gifting me a HUGE bundle of Worldwide stamps.
The generosity is astounding.

Whilst I had a rather strong collection of Malagasche, my collection improved so much in the early years, and postmarks.

Joss will be pleased to know, the gift is passing free, on to other SCF members in the United States, as we speak.
Thanks Joss!

very interesting and lovely pages Rod - thanks for sharing! I have a very soft spot for French Colonies. Even after independence their stamps remained very attractive for ages.

Although scarily recently I'm finding myself drawn to the post independence stamps of the British Commonwealth and even the George VI and Elisabeth II issues as well

Nice collections and pages shown in this thread. Thanks Rod and all for sharing your stamps of this faraway island. For the topic, scanned below is a simple block from my WW block collection postmarked in MANJAKANDRIANA

Linus,
every time I encounter a block of 4, I now think of you.
I am not sure if that is a good thing or not

PS General Gallieni is missing the temple pieces to his spectacles,
unless they just pinch on the nose.
