I wanted to make sure I'm identifying my stamps correctly. Still working on these Washingtons. I have 3 today that are all different.

The first is not perfect on the perfs, but is 12 perfs, has secret mark. I believe it is a Scott 158. Let me know if I'm wrong on any of them.

Then, the second stamp does not appear to have a secret mark. I believe it may be a 169.

Then, the last stamp has a secret mark, no gum. The color is a darker green than the rest. Scott 184 is my first thought, but the color seems a richer green.

The last stamp is Scott 207, since it has the horizontal dash under the "TS" of cents.

158 is the Continental Bank Note with the secret mark, the second stamp is these first two are both National Bank notes, 147 unless you can find grill points, then they would be 136.

Note the odd dot to the left of the bust oval on the first stamp. Not sure what that is, but it is unusual. The 2nd stamp shows a position dot in the white border of the oval. These dot are use to guide the layout of the plate.

The first stamp is actually a #158. I think the dot on that stamp is also a layout dot. They don't always end up in the white oval.

Don't worry one day everything will click and fall in place. Half the fun in learning the little things that differ on the same issue. We have all been there and if most of us would admitt it we sometimes still get it wrong.
