New 'Pointing Hand' Or 'return To Writer/Sender' Community Project

Here's another pointing finger that has nothing to do with a Return to Sender. I've seen it on several earlier York PA allegorical cancels but this is the first pointing finger PAID I've seen that does not have the allegorical cancel. The cover is from 1841.

New York City to Breslau, Prussia (via Hamburg) and back again in 1876. Franked with a 5-cent Zachary Taylor issue of 1875 paying the UPU rate as of July 1, 1875. The stamp is tied to the cover both by a red New York Exchange Office CDS indicating prepaid mail, and a fancy killer. All other markings were applied in the German Empire except for the pointing hand. The Breslau Post Office crossed out manuscript numbers on the front indicating carriers and their routes in Breslau as do all the circular Ausg. (Ausgabe) handstamps on the back.
