Found this imperforate #7 from Position 4R4. A decent stamp for $24.95! Looks like it could possibly be a later printing; the bottom seems quite light/incomplete.

Another neat stamp.
I agree, its a very late printing.
Good find - those top row plate 4 imperforates are hard to find.

I guess I should use this opportunity to point out an old error in the Neinken 1c book.

The drawing for 4R4 shows the orientation of the 'curl' incorrectly. If you compare 3R4 and 4R4 in the drawings, you'll see that the curls are drawn as being oriented different on each. They really aren't. 4R4 is wrong in the book in that sense.

Thanks txstamp. I agree they seem to be fairly tough to find(without specifically searching for them). I think I've only found 2 so far, but I've found plenty of perforated Top Row Plate 4 stamps. I don't know if people just pay more attention to the imperfs or what.

Thanks for noting that here! I've always thought the curls basically looked the same for both positions. If I know the stamp is 3R4 or 4R4, I first look at the bottom right. 3R4 has the blur & 4R4 doesn't.
