Uhh Jim... the two auctions are actually not that far apart in asking price. The first one is for a roll of 84 stamps and the second for a single PS5. Given that the first listing includes best offer, who knows what he might accept.

I don't know what these errors are actually worth marketwise, but on its face this is not that egregious of a listing.

At maximum:

84 divided by five is 16.8.

17 times 70.00 is 1,190.

Seller is asking $1,400.

CV for an imperf pair (2280b) is $25 in both Scott & Datz. Scott doesn't list imperf PNCs, but Datz does ... plate #8 for 2280b is valued at $550. Which means that the 84-stamp strip is definitely not a bargain, but the PS5 probably is.

However, per Durland the accepted format for imperforate PNC strips is a strip of 6, not a strip of 5... even though some ebay sellers are trying to get full freight for the latter.
