I have found these stamps as a lot... obviously couple of them are postal stamps, and mostly are revenues... any idea of their exact origin? Are all of them from the same country? Postal card seems to be interesting... is it officially used?

Hi Filipo, nice collection you have there.
All are Turkish, Postage stamps and Revenues.
The blues on the Postcard, and the fragment with the Sultan's visage, are postal.
Please advise if you need Scott numbers. I can ID the revenues, but would take some time.
Officially used? you'll need a specialist, however I shouldn't think so. The 10 paras purple, on the Postcard, is a Semi Postal "A soldier's farewell" suggesting the charity portion was to families of slain soldiers, however that is a guess. Scott offer no suggestion.

Hello Rod!
Thank you for a fast reply (as always)!
Please, don't bother yourself with the Scott numbers, I will take some time to find them out by myself :O)
If you will have a spare time to ID the revenues, that will be helpful... of course, only if that will be interesting for yourself to do.
Thanks again! |

Rod, I am sorry I totally forgot about this thread... I will be thankful if you send me a mail-reminder when you see that I don't respond. I can make better scans of the stamps you asked, but only if I will be able to locate them... it seems that I have place the folder with them on a very secure place... which even myself don't know where it is. Btw. do you know who are the persons on the postcard here? On the backside is some description, but I can't read that old German script... |

Thank you, Rod. I supposed that maybe they have been some Prussian and Turkish leaders of that time, easy recognazible. However, they are probably "just" some kind of generals or admirals... :) |

The Kurrent script is tough. At first glance, I think I can make out some of the smaller words:
________ mit Turkish ________ _______ Offizier ünd _________ _________ _________ _________ adjutant für _________ (artillerie ______) |

Thanks Rod, I will surely need to take some advantages of the Forum... and to subscribe on this and some other threads. PostmasterGS... possibly the very first word (and also the first word in the last line) could be Mackensen? M is the first letter, there is surely a large K.. n could be the last. Field Marshall August von Mackensen (1849-1944) |

A person left of him on this photo could be the last one on the right side on the postcard... |
