Scott 581-is it made by rotary press sheet waste (perf 10x10)?
Scott #581 wasn't made from rotary press sheet
waste, because #581 was printed (and intended to be printed) on the rotary press. There's no such thing as a flat plate #581.

The 596 was a sheet of waste from a rotary press (perforation 10x10)
No. #596 is perf. 11, which is what distinguishes it from #581. In other words, some stamps printed on the rotary press, which were supposed to be put through a perf. 10 perforator to produce Scott #581, were mistakenly put through a perf. 11 perforator, which produced the error that has Scott #596.

The biggest indicator that the stamp was 632 is the color
No, the biggest indicator that a stamp would be #632 would be that it's perforated 11×10½. #632 ranges from green to yellow green, and the variant #632a from bright to deep green. If it's 11×10½, it's #632 or #632a — unless it has a Kans. or Nebr. overprint.
