If this stamp is what they say it is, why aren't they selling it via an established auction house? Here you have a company based in Vegas, which nobody has ever heard of, with a feedback of 114 offering a world class rarity that- to be blunt- looks too good to be genuine. |

The left pic is the ebay lot. The right pic is from Siegel's 2015 Rarities of the World sale 1106 on 2015-06-25, lot 3116, which sold for $260,000 |

Quote: Check this one out...someone (a shill?!) bought a used R11 (!!! thanks for the scissor work!!) - but with Original Gum!! - for $455!! Good grief! If you look at his other listings, without exception every single imperf and part perf is a fake. Whoever bought this particular stamp is a complete and utter fool. No one with even the first clue about 1st issue revenues would think this is a legitimate stamp. If you don't know enough about what you are buying, you shouldn't be. It's that simple. |

I was wondering if he has any stamps in his possession - given the inverted 30c 1869 image comparison above. Then I saw the above comment about the fake 1st issue revenues -- if the seller didn't have material, and was just auctioning 'images' so to speak, then why bother with bad 1st issue revenue fakes? i.e. get some good images...its not hard. Interesting conundrum with this one Maybe he's trying to look (il)legitimate? Who knows. |

My first thought on seeing the comparison above of the inverted 30c 1869 ebay offering and the Siegel catalog image was that the ebay catalog cutout cut-up must have moved from France to Las Vegas! |
