Tell us the story of how you became to be Stuck on Stamps and how you came by your collection.

I know I inherited mine, as my son will inherit his!

Got the stamps put away and popcorn ready!! Tell the story!!

I think it is human nature to dream....sending this stamp in for expertizing is akin to waking up and realizing that the dream has been dashed. Is it possible that Stuck has a genuine #613? Mathematically, yes. 50 examples of #613 have been deemed genuine in almost 100 years amongst the hundreds of millions of 2 Cent Harding stamps printed. Realistically, chances are probably better of him winning the mega-millions jackpot.

I want to believe..

Just bought this off ebay.it is still in route to me so I can't take any images besides what I have screen shot yet. I needed a Harding imperf and what to my wondering eyes would appear? Maybe a 613? Maybe you professionals can figure it out by this post. There is an image of the full page I bought. I tried to zoom in on the elusive 11 perf rotary witch is next to the perf 10 rotary. Could it be?

Well, the stamp ID'd as a perf 10 rotary is a perf 11, so the skill/accuracy of the original collector is not high.

The collector was studious enough to jot down cat values or dealer prices for each stamp. It will be interesting to see what they wrote in for the 613.

That's the weird thing. Values for the stamp written except for the Harding stamps.

I'll be posting images and any information I find out when I receive them in the mail. I am hoping by the week's end though seller says I'll have it by the 18th latest.

Probably for security. It might catch a potential thief's attention seeing 2.50, 3.75, 2.00., .20, $40,000

The frustration when you come to a forum started a year ago expecting the case to be closed so you skip the waiting and anticipation, only to be in the same boat as everyone else. This seems like a soap of sorts...

Again.....it's all about dreams. Reality dictates to any rational soul, if it's a one in fifty million that I have got it, well then, I probably don't have it. But when that dash of hope gets introduced into the equation, then it becomes a totally irrational and lottery, jackpot-winning mentality. If a genuine #613 popped up out of the woodwork, here or anywhere else for that matter, it would be THE FIND OF A LIFETIME! Not to be the nay-sayer, but my money says it's not happening anytime soon.

Nice discussion abouth the scott 613. I'm normally a realist and the changes to catch a 613 are very slim. But this stamp on the photo second on the right is something different than the 610 on the left. The perforations are 11 so the 612 is excludet, what sting in the eyes is the size.
the stamp is bigger than a 610 same size as a rotary 632 franklin.
The frame is slightly higher than the 610 frame see photos. Is this a candidate for a cerfificate or did I made wrong assumption and forgot something important that rule out this stamp to be a 613?
