I can't find the info but how do you fix the mounts on the pages? Do they have an adhesive backing or do I need to use hinges?

They are gummed on the reverse (slightly rough to the touch). Lick 'em and stick 'em!

Lick 'em sparingly though. Too much moisture and they can 'grip' and wrinkle the album page as they dry.

If you dab with a glue-stick, you avoid moisture. Hinges prevent damage to the page, if that's an issue.

As Ringo said, they only need the smallest touch of the tongue to make a secure bond. And if you only secure the top half, it makes it easier to remove stamps.

I usually weakly moisten the bottom 1/4 (or less) just to tack them on, as you would a conventional hinge. They can be removed if needs be, but wait at least 20 minutes until the gum has fully dried or they will take away a chunk of your page as well.

I use a small brush to place a small and more controlled amount of moisture.
