Scanned Stamps For Plating Blurry Despite Dpi...help!

Here are two high res images from my all-in-one scanner.
The first image is at 6400dpi and the second is at 12800dpi.
I think both images look good. The 12800 looks a little blurry but you have to remember the spot it is looking at is probably about 1mm across. I think the scanner does a very good job.

This is the kind of info and guidance I was hoping for. Thanks to all for your input. I'll update when I get the chance to play with it more.
