@angore, in which chapter appears your table? The third, amended edition (I think the last that was printed) does not have this in chapter 6. Chapter 6 treats luminescence.

The table is in Chapter 6 on page 6-16. I have the CD version that was purchased last year.

Interesting that they added it after decades in the digital edition and no mention of it is made in the printed editions. I still do not see any phosphorescence with long-wave uv-light. Maybe it is a technical detail hardly visible by the naked eye.

NSK and ANGORE: Thank you very, very much for the posts. First, very sorry, been away with a migraine.

Yes, I am mixing my terminology (phosphorescence and fluorescence)...this is my first time working with phosphor & fluorescent issues; all prior experience has been pre-1955 & 19th century postal history. So entering this subject I am starting as a 'novice'... but that's the fun -- definitely a new philatelic 'learning curve' and not for the 'faint of heart!'

NSK...I greatly appreciate your taking the time to go into a detailed explanation of the reaction of each type phosphorescence and fluorescence paper under short-wave and long-wave appears and ANGORE the chart provided has been printed-out and posted at my desk for quick and easy reference; and I understand how stamps will be affected by soaking. One thing I have never done, but will do in the future, is look for afterglow.

All information has been extremely helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
Hal
