I saw the website with stamp pages from Bill Steiner and I was wondering which paper format they are made for. Because Bill lives in the USA I'm not sure if he made the pages to fit the American Letter or Legal paper format or the A4 format that is used almost anywhere else in the world.

I already searched his website but I can't seem to find the answer to the question which paper size the pages are created for. Does anyone has an idea?

Hello. Depending on which countries you are interested in, you might like to look at the free pages at http://www.album.france-timbres.net

All of the French area, with Yvert catalogue numbers, and a number of other European countries.

Open with Chrome on a laptop, rather than on a tablet.

They are made for the American zize. You can print on A4 (I do that). Just don't change the setting to fit paper, leave it as it is.
If you change it to fit paper zize the stamp boxes will not fit the stamp.
Leave it as it is it wil be printed with a narrow margin on right side, witch doesn't matter. It leave a good margin on left side for the holes for the binder.
Test print with one page.

Did anyone tried to print them on A4 pages? Because the height will be stretched a little and the width shrinked...

@GeoffHa Nice pages but the text is written in French and I don't think there is an easy way of editing it to English (or Dutch)

@Tobben63 Thanks for the reply, I will try with one of the sample pages and see if I can make it fit.
The width isn't that mutch of a problem (I comb bind my pages), only the height... I'm worried that the pages will look ugly because A4 is higher then Legal.

Steiner pages are designed to be printed on US letter sized paper which is 216 x 279 mm and not on US legal paper which is 216 x 356mm.
They will fit on an A4 page. But it would be best to download and print one of the sample pages so that you can decide whether they are suitable for you.

Another source for free album pages is here www.thestampweb.com/albums.html there is a much smaller selection than what Steiner offers but you might find something useful. These have been produced by different people, so some are A4 and others are US Letter sized, but it is easy to change the page size, page layout, text or anything else using the free AlbumEasy program.

Vincent - not sure how easy it is to play with the France Timbres pages. For anyone in Europe, Steiner has the major disadvantage of being arranged in line with the Scott catalogue. This means that not only the air-mail, but also the charity stamps, are separated from the rest of the mainstream issues.

Does anyone know how to print Steiner pages with a narrow margin on the left side and a good margin on the right side for the holes which would be useful for printing on the back side of the page? It would be the reverse of A4.

The only way I know to do it is to edit the PDF in Libre Office Draw and manually shift the design. Or, convert PDF to Power Point format and do the same in Power Point. Then print.

I use Libre Office Draw to customize select Steiner pages.
