Mansop, thank you, still a little difficult. I am presuming (as in a Western regime) your stamps were cancelled by the box cancels, at posting, the CDS was a receiver's mark? I don't have a clue.
I am currently looking at all 3 framed boxed cancels, I cannot see a post office applying two types of cancels at the same office, but what do I know? The crease in the first fragment, suggests the front and back of a cover.
The box cancels may mean something completely different from that of a location.
Stay tuned, but don't hold your breath. May take a few weeks.
PS: Praise to all the owners of the fragments you show, for resisting the urge to "soak" (applause) If they had kept them as covers would have been better, but probably we would not be seeing them here now.

Manosp, thanks to Bobby, we can ID your "Triple box" strikes. Coles and Walker GALATA Type 6 AR3 A=Arabic R= Rectangle. Usage 1883 > Scarcity 9 (between Good and Rare) Identified by tiny bits on yours by the "99" at bottom. |

Quote: Bobby, how the Dickens did you find that I searched for "auction catalogue ottoman empire postal history" (without the inverted commas) and it appeared in the results. In the preview it said " features more than 3000 items which document the Postal history of the Ottoman Empire." They have some other interesting catalogues archived there too: https://www.auktionshaus-schlegel.de/archive.html |

Quote: Some nice juicy Catalogues for Postmaster GS, perhaps. Old auction catalogs — yet another reason the movers hate me. I move every two years, and I have hard copies of almost every auction catalog from about 8-10 of the larger German auctionhouses going back over a decade. Schlegel is good in that they have an electronic archive. Most don't, and I find the catalogs handy for research. |

rod222, Bobby De La Rue, PostmasterGS thanks guys, your search skills are above average :)
As rod222 said, two Galata postmarks on the same envelope is a little bit strange. |
