Hello Everyone,

Could someone please help me identify these Franklin 1 cent stamps. They appear to be perforated 12.

Thank you,
Joe

Joe, these are definitely gauge 10 perforations, meaning 10 holes per 2cm, not for the length of the stamp. All government coils of this era are rotary press printings and have gauge 10 perforations. This is Scott number 597.

However, the holes look smaller than usual. Does anyone know of a small hole variety, or just an illusion?

Hey Tipzi

Thank you for the identification and explanation of perforations. Looks like I've been measuring them all wrong.
