Good day,

Can anyone find a classification listing for this Poplar Ridge NY fancy cancel?

There are four arcs in each of four quadrants.

I'm preparing to post this on ebay, unless someone here is interested in it.

I don't see it off-hand in Skinner-Eno, but perhaps someone else will find it somewhere.

It would be a circular geometric classification, I would think.

edit: This is close, if not it. Siegel 1090 lot 2239

Yeah, the closest I found in Skinner-Eno was SD-T 44 from Portland Wisconsin (p. 36).

I also checked Cole and Simpson.

txstamp, Thanks for finding the link to the Siegel lot. That sure looks like a match! I'm surprised I can't find a classification for it.

It looks like a standard common concentric circle or "target" killer in which someone has cut out portions of it. It is not particularly "fancy" other than the mutilation is uncommon. Of course the value in the Siegel auction lot is for the franking and the attractive envelope and not the killer.
