Oooh. I'm a fan of this country. The stamps are easy to find, except for issues past the late 1980s (due to terrible political turmoil), and almost any postally used (beware, there is manufactured kiloware with fake cancels out there -- a certain well-known dealer has been selling it for years.) They stopped issuing new stamps in 1999, so it's also a very "completeable" country. Looking forward to seeing your civil war era issues. If you don't have 'em, I can show off mine :) |

Copies of No. Sc#334 were trimmed to 68x58mm and overprinted in silver or gold "NAPLES 1973" on the stamp, and "Salon Philatelique des Etats Africains / Exposition du Timbre-Poste Europa" in October, 1973. No Sc#Listing, or Steiner Page, or Value. Bruegel |

Brilliant! Thanks Eli Interesting how you pick up these items, I imagine a lot of searching online, time.
I wonder what press they were using? The registration is fabulous.

Ohh, yes, it take a lot of time searching these materials but once in a while they are offered on line. These proofs came from the printer in Belgium. Don't know the method of printing and this should be searched. I like very much this period of Rwandan philately where Belgian artists designed (and sometimes, engraved) the stamps and they were printed in Belgium in high quality. Unlike the more modern Rwanda stamps, these stamps used for real postage: BTW, the seller franked the package with many Belgian stamps, one of them is a stamp shows Oscar Bonnevalle, designer of many Belgian and African country stamps, including Rwanda. See several sets you posted above designed by Bonnavelle. Here is the stamp: |

Eli, I suspect the Oscar Bonnevalle stamp, is missing from most "Space" thematics. (Space shuttle)
