I have watched and lissned with utter facination to this whole string and I am absolutely fascinated with the whole subject. I have decided to start collecting Australian KGV stamps. After all the information dispensed I know a whole lot of nothing, but I intend to learn. I have been playing with a page for a new Album knowing quite well that with all the classifications it's almost impossible to put together an Album for KGV stamps, but I am having fun. Anyway here is my offering (to narrow) and (to busy), but I'm having fun. |

I can see someone appreciating this page in 100 years from now, and observing, "look at the flag Mum, this was made before Australia became a Republic!" :)

King Conn: You have an amazing way of stepping out of the square! All of us here agree that your presentation is outstanding. It's very humbling to hear of your interest in KGVs & we wish you all the best. But if this is your beginning of a KGV collection, what a collection it is going to be! King Conn: do you plan to use an image of a KGV stamp for all your collection pages? Will the background stamp reflect the colour of the stamp collected? |

KGV, I was going to ask the same question re shades. If a red stamp is used as a background for a simplified set from ˝d to 1/4d, no problem, but it wouldn't reflect the shades on a page of 1d reds too well. Having said that, I do like it!
I buy from one auction house that has a fainter red image on it's stationery and it's representative without dominating. |

jubilee it is all new to me I did not know you could buy such a page. The background colour for shades I had not thought about. The concern to me would be the background colour for a black-brown. But to lighten the background colour could be the way around this issue, as you have pointed out. Thanks |

To be clear, I don't think you can buy such a page, as the market would be too small. The auction house has them printed, and uses them fot invoicing and the like. |
