Long time, no bump for this thread.

Here is a ten dollar gas inspection from the 1897 series of Canada...

...with about as light a cancel as you'll find.

How about a fiscal stamp, overprinted for use as a postage stamp, then used as a fiscal!

Sharp. A nice accompaniment to the postal, overprinted for revenue, and then used postally that I posted a while back.

The Rosario (Argentina) prostitution revenues were discussed early on in this thread. (Particularly the various handstamp cancels.)

I just picked up a moderately fresh, unused one...

The general consensus is that these were used for a short time to show that a prostitute had received her mandated health checkup.

Sellers who know what these are often ask $10 to $15, or more, for them, but they often show up in lots of Argentine revenues, or as an unidentified (or misidentified) general revenue stamp.

Just so that no one has to go running back to the early part of the thread, the "Sana" handstamp indicated that the prostitute had her check-up and appeared to be healthy.

I have gone around in a circle and ended up where I started
I googled for info on this British Guiana revenue, and "found" this thread (Cjd posted a pic of one on page 7). Why did I bother looking elsewhere I ought to know better by now

Some more from my recent stamp show BOB/Cinderellas/Revenues purchases.

Swiss 3f "Service Consulaire"

Mexico, "Documentos y libros" - I'm assuming Documents and Books?

First forays into revenues, no clue what I'm doing yet!
