Looking for some help/guidance. I know finding a used, let alone an unused, Scott 192 Special Printing is virtually zero ... That being said, I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to tell the difference between the 182 and 192.

Both have the design A44a, the secret mark, soft porous paper, Ultramarine color, and printed by American Bank Note. I'm not sure what NGAI stands for in conjunction with the 192 soft porous paper type ... Perhaps that is the differentiating factor. I know the 182 is 1879, while 192 is 1880, but how exactly can these two be differentiated?

Like I said, I'm not expecting to ever find a Scott 192 in my lifetime, but strictly for self-educational purposes how does one tell the difference?

Thank you for any help and replies, and my apologies if this is a repeat from a previous thread.

Many thanks,
CentralSmitty
