That graf zepplin is a sought after cover, but yours is not in the best of condition. The envelope is a little rough at top. Try and carefully lay it flat in between two books or something to get it to flatten. As well the stamp is bent at the bottom left. Get some help from someone who knows and if it is not brittle the gum adhesive on the upturned area can be slightly moistened and laid flat to prevent further damage.

The us cover is nice looking too with the Baltimore cancel. Any other airmail stamps, maybe zepplins or other mint. A few more pictures would definetly assist.

I am not strong in US earlies so someone else may weigh in on these.

Also, Welcome tp the forum, enjoy.

The airmail stamp is common. I'd certainly be interested to see more. 19th century covers are always interesting.

Thanks for the replies! I will be more than happy to upload more. I also have what looks to be a lot of 4 "blocks". What is it that most people seek/What is rare? Envelops/letters? I have quite a few of those. Anything else specific?

I put the envelope with the Graf in a book and flattened out what I could. These were all in a box stacked on top of each other I need to get what I have out and lay it flat.

Please note the first picture was a purchase from a stamp company back in the 1950s

That would be blocks of 4. And if they have inscription selvedge along the efges they would be corner inscription blocks, commonly referred to as plate blocks. If it is mint stamps from the 60's up much is pretty common but varieties are sometimes found. Like the moderator of this group states qiite often, consider them as the most common until you find that they are not. When proven to actually falling into the parameters of the other stamp is best. What you show seems to be fairly common approval packages of stamps from dealers of yesteryear. Show us a few more of the covers with stsmps on them.

No problem. I'll try to get them back out after work today and take better photos of some more covers. Thanks!
I had some more photos in my phone and I'll just put a couple up now. Have a very interesting transcript of one of Franklin Ford Transcripts which I thought was cool to see.

In the photo beginning with the Gray Stamp Company envelope, I see a glassine envelope of Azad Hind stamps, issued for the non-occupation of India. Hopefully one of the German experts on the site can offer a thought. I think those may be fairly uncommon, if they're genuine.

And, yes, welcome to the Forum!

The Azad Hind stamps are common. The 3 high denominations have value. The lower values come in both perforate (in several different perforations) and imperforate versions. Forgeries are known though I have never seen any (likely only the high values are worth forging). Genuine are printed photogravure, the forgeries are printed offset. This set is considered to be a private printing and not from a recognized government. But they are collectible.

The Saxony stamps have approximately the same value as when you bought them.
