All very nice items, Rob. My collection ends about there, so looking forward to additional pictures. |

Hi Partime
I'm sure you will find the continuing uploads quite interesting, especially the stamps of 1966.

Rob:
On quite a few of the last day or two's postings, the paper is much brighter on the helicon issues, compared to the normal paper. Is the paper as different as this when viewed by eye, or is the Helicon paper getting a boost from the scanner lamp.

Frank Hi Frank The Helecon stamps is much brighter when viewed by the eye, though the light on the scanner does make the stamp a fraction brighter. During the earlier reign of QEII two papers were introduced, Wiggins Teape paper (cream), which has a dull appearance and Harrison paper (white), which has a much whiter appearance. The cream paper which is used for the Helecon series is always brighter as I have noticed on all my QEII Helecon stamps, as a result of the Helecon inking. Rob |
