I have been building a comprehensive Hungary collection after acquiring two nearly-complete ones that I've been merging. One collection had an array of "oddities" but thanks to web browsing, an old Michel catalog, and some forum searches, I ID'd pretty much everything. Except this page .... it appears to be some kind of Philatelic creations based on the neatness of the layout of stamps and postmarks. Maybe some kind of philatelic show? A postmaster or collector creation? Or something totally different. I can't find them anywhere so any help, a link, or an idea of where to look would be super helpful! They are quite beautiful and I want to put them on their own page with a description but aside from a giant question mark, I got nada!!

Thanks in advance!

Never seen them before, but a quick search here

https://www.hungarianstamps.com/201...f-1918-1920/

produced a paragraph that includes the following: "Some examples of municipalities that are included in the category of locals issues are: Zombor, Ada, Nagyszeben, Kluj, Pancsova, Perlak, Baranya III, Skalica, Lajtabansag (Western Hungary) and several others" Since your stamps are postmarked Pancsova and Nagyszeben, 1923-4, I'm guessing that the overprints could be local only. Both the overprint and the dates indicated that these are stamps of the royal restoration, i.e., the regime of Miklos Horthy.

Thank you both. I didn't actually realize there are two different coat of arms designs.

Google translate is a bit bulky but it spit out this:

3.Military or other illegal occasional overprints for advertising, coercion, promotion, etc. without the participation of the post office. These stamps can also be mailed. In my opinion, their belonging to the field of philately is not justified, even foreign, but it is a historical contemporary.

So some kind of non-authorized overprint for a variety of purposes. Very cool regardless and now I can add something to the page. If anyone speaks fluent Hungarian and can clean that up a bit, let me know!

Thanks again for the info. That helps!

Agree they're very cool, especially with the complete, readable cancellations. Love Google Translate's idea that "coercion" was one of their purposes. If a Hungarian speaker chimes in we'll see what that turns out to be.
