Does anyone know of a reference source for plating the 1/2d Green Jersey 1942 occupation issue?

I collect Jersey and recently purchased a collection with a few dozen covers, many with plate positions labeled, so there must be enough variation to be able to ID the plate positions. The corners have a lot of differences - that section might be key.

If anyone has large multiples or a full sheet, a scan would be super helpful.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I know these books exist - trying to find copies.

Griggs, Ian. The 1942 Jersey 1/2d Arms: A Plating Study. Ilford: C.I.S.S. Publishing, 1982, 88p.

Beecken, Olaf. Eine Plattenstudie der Jersey 1d-Wappenmarke = A plating study of the Jersey 1d Arms. Koln: Forschungsgemeinschaft Kanalinseln & Insel Man (FGCI), 1986 68p.

Follow up - found the Griggs book in Spellman library and can check out through APRL. Cool!

LOL I answered my own question!

Wow! I have a number of the jersey and Guernsey occupation issues and can't even work out which paper they are on I know I probably have at least one printed on newsprint but cannot be sure. I don't know anyone else with an interest in them.

Noocassel, for the pictorial series the difference between the newsprint paper (designated "x" in Michel) and normal paper ("y") can be seen under long wave UV. I am not sure if this works for the first two Jersey issues; I have not tried yet.

The lefthand side of the image is daylight. Both papers look the same. The righthand side is long wave UV and shows the difference clearly. (The selvage text is not by me!)

Germania, thanks for sharing the pics and information. Especially appreciate that you noted long wave. Very useful!
