Hi, I got these Belgium 'Chemins de Fer' stamps from 1912+. Unused, even mint stamps are not really rare, however, as with these stamps is typical they are cancelled at a specific train station. In this case respectively Namur, depot 17(?) and (in a poor state) Strichnon. Does anyone know are locations of cancels on railway stamps to any interest to collectors e.g. from that region? In general I mean?

The second one was most likely cancelled in Bruxelles

I'd be interested in learning if the railway cancels have more value based on the location.

I do know that you occasionally find one with a regular (circular) town cancel. Those are worth more, and I always save them when I come across them.

They probably do have more value depending on location but it would be a relatively small field I'd imagine.

The advantage of this is there is less competition than you would find with more popular issues, that and you probably won't be spending enormous sums to build a good collection. If it was me I'd be buying in bulk and enjoy the sorting and the chase.
